Get Your Summer Legs
Now that summer is officially here, many people are wondering about a simple, effective procedure known as Endovenous Laser Ablation to get rid of unsightly varicose veins. This procedure is minimally invasive and can be done over your lunch hour. There is no recovery time and, little, if any, discomfort. The best part is many insurance companies cover the cost of Endovenous Laser Ablation. We can tell you all about it during your FREE screening. Just call us to set up an appointment.
Endovenous Laser Ablation works like this: Lidocaine is used to numb the area. Then an experienced physician at Physicians Vein Clinics makes a slight incision and inserts a thin catheter into the vein. With ultrasound assistance, the catheter is guided up the great saphenous vein. Then, the inside of the vein is heated, and the heat seals the vein closed. Once the vein is closed, other healthy veins re-route blood and the vein dissolves.
The non-invasive laser procedure has been proven up to 98% effective, with rare cases of reoccurrence. You may feel a slight “pulling” sensation along the treated vein for a few days. For best results, we do recommend wearing compression stockings during the day for the first two weeks following treatment.
