Endovenous Laser Ablation
A small laser fiber is carefully inserted into the vein through a tiny needle access. The laser heat is then used to seal the vein shut. The procedure can usually be performed in about 45 minutes using the comfortable Sciton Pro-V Laser System. Patients enjoy rapid improvement of symptoms, no downtime, less bruising than traditional surgical treatment, and minimal, if any, scarring.
If you have unsightly Varicose Veins that destroy your confidence, you might want to consider Endovenous Laser Ablation.
Endovenous Laser Ablation is a minimally invasive medical procedure to remove Varicose Veins.
During the procedure, a laser fiber is inserted through the skin directly into the vein. The heat from the laser actually damages the vein and causes it to collapse. The vein then shrinks and fades away.
This procedure is an out-patient procedure and local anesthetic is used on the target area. The procedure itself takes approximately 30 minutes to an hour, depending on the circumstances.
The benefits of having a Laser Ablation is that there is a reduced chance of developing stasis ulcers, more efficient blood circulation, relief from discomfort, aches and pains.
The removal of the unhealthy vein does not negatively affect the healthy veins. The healthy veins continue to move blood away from the legs just as they should.
The procedure is minimally invasive and leaves a very small scar. The recovery is quick and typically there is very minor soreness. In some cases, there may be slight bruising but the bruising will fade within a week.
